Greetings: I am The Rev. Robert A. Howard and I am coming to you on behalf of my church, Hebron United Methodist in Lebanon, PA. Hebron Church has a century old history of serving the community of Lebanon, especially the neighborhoods around our building. The church’s history may be found on our about page. For the past four years, our congregation has been going through a period of “rebirth” as we grow and embrace all the new challenges that God has laid in front of us.
We have come together sharing a common vision and a single voice as we grow both numerically and spiritually! During this past four year we have made substantial necessary repairs, improvements and upgrades to our aging building, all while maintaining an aggressive budget for both worldwide and community “OUTREACH.” We continue to live out the Biblical call to generously “Tithe” from the blessings that God has poured out on our congregation.
Unfortunately, in order to continue to provide for the ever-growing needs of our neighbors and our local mission field, we have had to make some sacrifices in spending on items we really need. The church conducts a traditional style worship service with both piano and organ music. The congregation s two, small, 50+ year-old pianos that can no longer be serviced effectively and the ongoing costs have made it necessary to raise funds to purchase a baby-grand piano of suitable quality and sound to fill our magnificent and large worship space.
2025 has been a difficult year as we work diligently to meet our aggressive budget and expand the ways we serve our city. Because of this, I am reaching out to all of you via this medium in an attempt to “crowd-fund” this much needed musical instrument. We have established connections that will allow us to purchase an instrument of the quality we require and a cost much lower than new pianos. The goal we have set will allow us to choose the best used piano to meet our needs.
Please consider supporting this project so that we might have a new piano in place as we enter into the Christmas holiday season. If you wish to discuss significant contributions with me directly, call my church office at (717)-272-8116. I pray a blessing upon all who contribute to this ongoing ministry here in Lebanon, PA.
