Did you know that the Lebanon County Choral Society rehearses here at Hebron? On Monday, February 5, the organization will begin rehearsals for their spring season, which will culminate on the afternoon of Sunday, May 19, in a concert at Friedens Lutheran Church in Myerstown. The choral society has choruses for children and adults and invites interested Hebron parishioners to come to a rehearsal to see if they would like to join. Rehearsals are held at Hebron every Monday evening, and the first two rehearsals of every season are “open,” so there is no obligation.

The adult chorus (for high school students and adults), under the direction of Sean Hackett, rehearses from 7:30 to 9:15 PM. This season will feature Mozart’s Krönungsmesse and other music of royal lineage. No audition is required; experience with choral singing and an ability to read music are helpful but not required.

Singers in grades 3 through 8 are invited to participate in the youth chorus under the direction of the society’s new youth director, Gabrielle Quandel Umholtz. This ensemble rehearses from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and will perform with the adult chorus on May 19.
